User Guide for Printer-Head Chip Decoder 1. Pls switch off the power , and then install the chip decoder. 2. Take off the top cover of the plotter, pull the ink cartridge shelf out of the maintenance station about ten centimeter; 3. Take off the printerhead carefully , and get the ink cartridge shelf cover board ( the cover board with ink Tube) off; 4. Prize up the socket lock button of the connect signal wire in PCB from two ports ; Pull the signal wire out; then, insert the chip decoder into socket in the PCB of the ink cartridge shelf (originally, it is inserted the signal wire), and lock up the socket tightly; 5. Please insert the Chip Decoder carefully according to the stated direction ( Chip decoder interface is identical with the socket circuit interface of the ink cartridge shelf PCB signal wire), and ensure the original signal wire is connected as well; 6. Prize up the lock button of the chip decoder socket from the two ports, and insert signal wire into the chip decoder socket , and then lock the button tightly. 7. Check if the chip decoder is insert correctly, straightly and tightly, and if the signal wire is inserted correctly; 8. After confirm there¡¯s no any mistake, please cover the ink cartridge shelf cover board and ensure the cover board is covered in good situation ; 9. Lay back the ink cartridge shelf into the maintenance station; *0. Install up the top cover of the plotter, and turn on the printer; *1. When you insert the chip decoder into the printer for the first time, Please don¡¯t install the printerhead before you open the printer. After confirm the plotter has tested the paper, enter the plotter operation panel (assistant function menu), press, if the chip decoder is installed correctly, the ink cartridge shelf will be in the printing action. Then, press < service menu >, press < ink box information>, the LCD screen will show GS + Y *8, GS +M *8, GS + C*8, GS + K *8, if it is correct as state, that means the chip decoder is installed correctly. If there¡¯s some problem , pls contact with our dealer in time. *2. Turn off the printer and install the printerhead (you¡¯d better conglutinate two electro circuit points together of the original enumerative chip in the original printhead by adhesive tape if you use the OEM printerhead, ) . You can turn on the printer and use it after you install the printerhead well. Use for ENCAD NOVAJET **0/**0/**0e/**0/**0/**6/**0 printer.
