PWM High-Efficiency LED driver

Description

The BCT***5 is a PWM High-Efficiency LED driver with a built in internal power MOSFET, capable of driving up to 1.5A continuous output current with excellent constant current regulation. It allows efficient operation of High Power, High Brightness LEDs from voltage sources ranging from 4.5V to *5V. The LED string is driven at constant current, thus BCT***5 provides constant light output and enhanced reliability. The output can be programmed by an external resistor, DC, or PWM signal. Requiring only a minimum number of external components, it offers simple to use, but high efficiency and advanced protection features including current limiting and thermal shutdown. Adjustable LED current and dimming control will give flexible light levels in the system operation and the regulator draws minimum current in shutdown mode. BCT***5 is available in a Pb-Free SOIC8 with Exposed Pad package.
