Working on the “velocity-difference†principle, the SCL*9 Multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter is mainly used at hydropower station and large water delivery project for measuring the water flow in pipes, culverts and various forms of pipes under pressure. The meter operates with a multi-channel technique and the flowrate is calculated using flowrate weighted integral method. The use of the meter has effectively tackled the technical problems concerning distribution of flow regime, signal processing and on-line mounting of transducers with water flowing under pressure, making it possible to measure water flow in a reliable and accurate manner. Because of its outstanding technical performance, the meter has become an ideal water flow measuring unit for large-sized water project.
