Gardenia blue is a rare natural coloring pigment. It manufactured by hydrolyzation of iridoids which extracted from gardenia and α-amino acid. Manufacturing standard It has been listed in the GB********6 <National Hygienic Standards for Application of Food Additives> as a kind of edible natural pigment. HPLC EMP***2 Character: Blue liquids or black powders. E1%1cm(**0nm) = *0~**0 (PH7.0) Physicochemical property Our product is Odorless and tasteless. It can be easily dissolved in water, hydrous ethanol and hydrous propylene glycol. No discoloration when PH is from 3 to 8(**8). Good heat-resistance, no discoloration by **0℃ within *0 min. It has Weak moisture-resistance and light-resistance and Strong coloring effect on starch. Preparation We are detecting the gardenia blue through enzymatic reaction of extracting geniposide.
