Sodium Potassium Silicate

Description

Sodium Potassium (in forms of powder, liquid or lump), appears white in state of powder , light yellow as sticky liquid, and transparently light blue in lump form. It has both properties of potassium silicate and sodium silicate, which could feed the shortage of using only one industrially. For example, it has better water-resistant ability in comparison with any kind of sodium silicate. To acquire it, it needs to mix potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate and silicon sand with certain ratio to react under high temperature, later a series of procedures such as cooling, solution, defecation and finally concentration. Another method is using sodium hydrate, potassium hydrate and silicon to react with heat and pressure, finally to concentrate. It is mainly used for adhesive, detergent, degreaser and welding electrode.
