Description
What is a cooling tower?
A cooling tower is a heat rejection device, used to transfer
process waste heat to the atmosphere. Cooling towers may either use
the evaporation of water to remove process heat and cool the
working fluid to near the wet-bulb air temperature or rely solely
on air to cool the working fluid to near the dry-bulb air
temperature. Common applications include cooling the circulating
water used in oil refineries, chemical plants, power stations and
building cooling.
The atmospheric cooling towers utilize no mechanical fan to create
air flow through the tower, its air is derived from a natural
induction flow provided by a pressure spray.
Closed circuit cooling tower, is the deformation and development of
traditional cooling towers. In fact, it is a kind of evaporative
type cooler, that the process fluid flows past the inner pipe, and
the air flows past outside the pipe. They two do not contact, to
form a closed circuit cooling tower, and enhance the heat transfer
effect by spray water.
American Cooling Tower Institute creates CTI certification.
There are CTI STD***1 Thermal Performance Certification and ATC***5
Acceptance Test.
Shanghai CV Testing Technology Centre professionally provides CTI
membership initiation, CTI Certification guidance, documents
compiling, testing witness, data collection, and so on.
