An apparatus for cutting battery electrodes includes a base , a laser cutting system and an electrode width adjusting apparatus. The base is provided with a cutting area which can place and feed the electrode. The laser cutting system includes a laser generator, a cutting torch for cutting the electrodes and a laser path for transmitting the laser. The cutting torch is positioned above the cutting area. The electrode width adjusting apparatus is connected with the laser cutting system, and leads the laser cutting system  to adjust the cutting width of the electrodes. The apparatus can cut the electrodes contactlessly with high speed and can increase the uniformity of the electrodes size.
