The inspired Ox-chair, with its use of leather and steel, is in contrast to this. The chair does contain a wooden frame, but this is covered by the leather. Instead the Ox-chair follows the conditions of the materials in another way. Wegner is inspired by the leather in the shape of an abstract bull - a powerful yet comfortable chair. Wegner is using nature indirectly to create a new shape.
