Description

Fucoidan is a uniquely-structured sulfated polysaccharide, a complex carbohydrate molecule that is found in high concentrations in the cell walls of Laminaria and Undaria andisolatedfrom brownseaweedwhichisharvestedfromnatural,deep,cold oceanic watersunder excellent growth conditions.

The primary active ingredient of fucoidan, fucose is one of the eight biological sugars absolutely essential for cell-to cell communication. It is unique to brown seaweed bio-active substances which are found in brown algae cell wall matrix as kelp and other brown algae cells inherent in polysaccharide, it is hydrosoluble heteropoly saccharine, mainly consists of sulfuric ester-Fucose.Besides fucose, they also contain other monosaccharides (mannose, galactose, glucose, xylose, etc.) Furthermore, the structures of fucoidans from different brown algae vary from species to species.

So it’s also called align or fucoidan & laminaran, the major effective ingredient is α-L-fucose**-sulfuric ester.
