Description
Application
REM is effective for welding steel and characterized by cast and
strained structure in the area of weld and liable to lamellar
cracking.
Spheroidal-graphite cast iron modified with REM excels grey cast
iron in ultimate strength **3 times. Small additions
(0.***0.*5 REM) to cast iron allows to get thin-section casting
without chilling.
Used for alloying of light-weight nonferrous metals on basis of
aluminium and magnesium, increases rupture strength, resistance to
swinging and corrosion without increase of electrical
resistivity.
