Fiberglass Blanket Insulation
Description:
Welding blankets are made of fiberglass loomstate, caramelized fiberglass, coated fiberglass cloth, and silica cloth which has good construction and endurance of high temperature from **0 up to ***0C degree. Various treatments and sizes could be fabricated on request. And we can install with eyelets, clips or Velcro on the blankets in order to suit your individual needs
Application:
Welding blankets provide protection from sparks, spatter, slags generated by welding or metal cutting applications, have been widely used in many industries include shipbuilding, construction, automotive parts, oil plants, flammable chemicals, and so on.
Guidance of fabrics selection:
The type of welding application determines which type of fabrics are needed.
-Light Duty Welding Blankets(*3OZ to *8OZ) - general purpose welding, light sparks, minimal spatter
-Medium Duty Welding Blankets (*0OZ to *0OZ)- heavier welding, sparks, spatter, light slag
-Heavy Duty Welding Blankets (*2OZ to *0OZ)- heavy sparks, spatter, slag, possibility of molten metal
Difference between coated welding blankets and uncoated welding blankets:
-Coated fabrics offer better abrasion and burn through resistance. They are stiffer which allow spatter and slag to roll off more easily.
-Uncoated fabrics are more pliable and are easier to drape over and wrap around objects.
What welding blanket weight and thickness to use:
The performance of welding blankets depends on many factors. However, generally heavier and thicker welding blankets provide better protection and take longer to burn through.
Welding blanket for horizontal or vertical welding application
For vertical welding blanket application, thinner fabrics may be used. For horizontal or flat welding blanket application, heavier fabrics and higher melting temperature fabricss should be used.
