The *0oz lightweight 'stretch' (cotton-elastane mix) denim fabric of this garment actually starts off a brilliant White.

After an initial stone washing to soften and age the denim. A resin coating applied before the washing makes the pigments stain the garment in an uneven and random way, and fixes the color, to ensure a long-lasting dirty effect.
