Description

 Our Island is situated in the western part of the solomon islands. we are located close to choiseul province. we have a population of around a thousand.

we have been farming this seaweed for nearly 5 years now. we have agents here who are buying them and exporting them overseas. but now we are looking at exporting it ourselves.

this seaweed is farmed by my people in my village. we usually nursery them and then plant them. it takes up to 6 weeks before harvesting them and drying them.

after drying them we pack them into boxes to scale them at USD$1.*0 (which is a poor price) and sell them to the agents.
