Have a good set of
application properties. On its mechanical properties of PAN fibers
are very close to the hair, and in this respect they are superior
to all other man-made fibers. They are often referred to as
"artificial fur".
Have maximum light resistance sufficiently high strength and
relatively high elongation (****5%). Due to the low water
absorption, these properties when wet do not change. Products from
them retain their shape after washing.
Characterized by high thermal stability and resistance to nuclear
radiation.
Have inertia to pollutants, so their products are easy to clean.
Not damaged and eaten by microorganisms.
Resistant to high concentrations of strong acids, even when heated,
and the alkali-average concentration. The solvents used for washing
and cleaning of clothes (benzene, acetone, carbon tetrachloride,
dichloroethane, etc.), do not affect the strength of the fiber.
