Clean Harbors provides safe,
cost effective recycling of transformers and electrical
equipment. With several company owned facilities across the
United States dedicated to transformer processing, dismantling and
recycling, Clean Harbors delivers a wide range of transformer
services to Utilities, refineries, steel mills and large
manufacturing facilities. Clean Harbors electrical equipment
recycling is complimented and supported by our on site dismantling
services.
Clean Harbors is currently seeking interested buyers of
transformers and transformer cores from its locations in Tucker,
GA; Coffeyville, KS; Twinsburg, OH and Los Angeles, CA. Items
for bid will include:
- Core/Coils
- C Cores
- Copper Windings
- Aluminum and Mixed Windings
- Pad/Pole Mount Units
- Silicon
steel laminations
Volumes will vary by location and type of material but on
average we anticipate the following volumes on a monthly
basis:
C Cores – ***0 loads per month
Copper/Aluminum and Mixed windings – ***0 loads per
month
Silicon steel laminations – **5 loads per month
Buyer will need to provide containers and transportation to
final destination. Clean Harbors will load material,
typically *4,**0 pounds per load.
Clean Harbors also offers opportunities to bid on large
substation transformers throughout the United States. I have
attached an example request for pricing for a unit in Clinton, MO.
If your company is interested in this type of business please
email a reply asking to be placed on the substation distribution
list. We are searching for buyers that can have containers
dropped at various site locations, so Clean Harbors can load
laminations and/or copper from a transformer teardown. The
material being loaded ranges anywhere from *4,**0 lbs – *0,**0 lbs
per container. We are interested in buyers that can pay a
price per pound up front, based on the material being offered.
The preferred method of payment is either a transfer of funds
through our corporate office or the total to be paid by credit
card.
