YTD type SSPDMS is a kind of Mechatronic device.
Its operations conform with the Ergonomic principles.
Effective measures on mechanical, electronic control and software have been applied in order to ensure the efficiency of slag stopping and steel tapping, the requirements of location accuracy, the ability to resist the harsh working conditions such as high temperature, dust etc.
It adopted effective accurate location control and error control of various actions. It can ensure the leading-in of guide bar of the slag stopping plug. Hydraulic locking centering device withfunction of “secondary location” is used to prevent movement excursion during the process of running and to ensure the uniqueness of running location.
YTD type SSPDMS can handle emergencies in many kinds of incidents. Manual function has been set, so even in the most severe cases, such as losing power, it can use its own capability to discard the slag stopping plug manually, relieving hydraulic load then uplift the cantilever bar aotumaticly, basic mechanical parts braking, then the cantilever bar could exit safely from converter.
Consider the strict requirement of personal safety and equipments’ safety, cantilever bar adopted an independent air cooling system to avoid cooling air flow lowering automatically in machine action, so it can prevent the damage of major components and unreliable actions. Reliable protection has been installed in the body and the rotating devices.
Working principle
YTD-type SSPDMS is installed on the platform orbit of the converter tapping side. It is mainly used: when the time of tapping has been carried out for about 2 / 3, the converter has tilted to about *0 °, and when tapping steel almost closes, SSPDMS’s cantilever bar clamps SSP whose proportion is between molten steel and steel slag, then inserts its guide bar in steel tapping hole in converter, releases the SSP.
The guide bar of SSP is inserted in the steel tapping hole to get the fixed position. When the molten steel is to drain away, the SSP’s hemisphere part which floats between steel fluid and slag fluid blocks the steel tapping hole, thereby, to prevent slag fluid entering into steel ladle. Slag stopping plugs have been carved with grooves to allow remained steel fluid to flow into the steel tapping hole while blocking off the slag fluid, so the greatest tapping can be ensured.
A typical working cycle of YTD-type SSPDMS is:
At rest, it is placed on the edge of the platform of the converter tapping side; the rotatable cantilever bar is perpendicular to orbit.
After starting it, the SSP is clamped in the head of cantilever bar.
When the bar goes parallel with the walking orbit, open the cooling compressed air.
After the converter tits to about *0 °, it goes forward to the input position and wait.
Choose the time for input manually, YTD-type SSPDMS’s cantilever bar tilts down, in place, then release the SSP.
Later, cantilever bar tilts up in place, it backs to the edge of platform at the back of the converter, the cantilever turns right.
Then stop the cooling compressed air.
From the tilting down of cantilever bar to the SSPDMS’s backing to the edge of the platform, cantilever turns right in place, the working time is about *0 seconds.
