Chemical properties:

Intermiscibility: with water, ethanol, benzene, toluene miscibility, hardly soluble in ether class, insoluble in petroleum ether. Have hygroscopicity. It is connected with alkyl oxygen and alcohol, so has the nature of the alcohol and ether.

Useage:

Used as a solvent, extraction agent, desiccant. Also used in printing ink as hygroscopic agent and softening agent.
Can be used for air conditioning system cleaner as disinfectant.
Is diglycol (diethylene glycol) good substitute, than diglycol (diethylene glycol) more environmentally safe.
Three glycol oil-wet hydrophilic balance value (HLB value) than diethylene glycol is low, so relative oil wet.
