Description
Corn oil (maize oil) is oil extracted from the germ of corn
(maize). Its main use is in cooking, where its high smoke point
makes refined corn oil a valuable frying oil. It is also a key
ingredient in some margarines. Corn oil is regarded highly for its
functionality, exceptional flavor, economy, and health benefits. It
is a concentrated source of energy, is very digestible, provides
essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, and is a rich source of
polyunsaturated fatty acids, which help regulate blood cholesterol
levels and lower elevated blood pressure.
