NaturCare Pullulan
NaturCare Pullulan is produced through fermentation of the fungus Aureobasidium Pullulans.
As an edible, odourless and practically tasteless polymer, pullulan is often used as edible film/coating functionality for inhibiting bacteria, yeast and fungus growth in among others oral hygiene products (mouth wash, breath freshner), tablets, coated foods and fresh food products. Â
Pullulan also has excellent viscosious, adhesion and lubrication properties for distinctive application functionalities.
Excellent solubility in water, natural low oxygen/CO2 permeability, heat sealable. Â
Applications : oral hygiene products, coatings for candies, tablets and capsules, adhesion in sauces and dressing without viscosity increase, skin care products.
