High carbon Cobalt stainless steel plate **3 / 9Cr*3CoMoV / 9Cr*3MoVCo

AUS*6, AUS*8, AUS**0: Sometimes referred to as 6A, 8A and *0A stainless steel.
AUS*6 is roughly comparable to **0A, and competes with **0J.
AUS*8 is roughly comparable to **0B and competes with ATS**5 and Gin*1.
AUS**0 is roughly comparable to **0C, but slightly tougher and slightly less corrosion resistant.
It competes with ATS**4 and **4CM. 
The AUS series stainless steel contains vanadium, unlike the **0 series, which increases its wear resistance and edge retention. The vanadium allows a sharper edge to be put on the blade.
 
9Cr*3CoMoV
A Chinese made high-carbon stainless steel with increased levels of cobalt added for greater edge retention. 
Offers a higher level of corrosion resistance at a great value.
