It is  a white powder or flake crystal at room temperature, soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, Ethyl acetate, acrylonitrile, styrene and other organic solvents, easily co-polymerized with a variety of monomers to form polymers to achieve a strong  water absorption, but this product does not dissolve in n-hexane, petroleum ether.
It has been widely used in coatings, adhesives, household chemicals, epoxy curing agent, photosensitive resin additives,textile auxiliaries, health care and medical areas.
