Nano technology based Asphalt additives utilize the modern Fatty Silane chemistry. These products (WETBOND-S, WETBOND-ES) have active silanol functional groups, on mixing with normal Bitumen and then using this bitumen to coat common silica based aggregates used in road construction, forms instant silicon-silicon bond. This bond is resistant in normal to severe weather conditions and prevent stripping of aggregates in moisture conditions. "WETBOND-S" works in minute dose (0.*5 - 0.1% by weight of bitumen), is highly stable in hot bitumen and fit for refinery blending of Anti-stripping Agents.
