Agarwood oil, also known as gaharu, oud, aloeswood, eagle wood, 沉香 (Chnxiāng), 沈香 (jinkō) and many other names depending location, is an extremely rare and precious natural oil obtained from several species of Aquilaria trees.

It originates in North Eastern India, Bhutan and parts of South East Asia, especially Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Agarwood has a very long history of medicinal use, valuable component of incense, and as an aromatic oil.

The fragrance of Agarwood comes from a process where fungi infect the trees, producing oleoresin which saturated the wood.

It is through the oleoresin saturated wood where the aromas come from. It fragrance is complex, deep and woody.

Agarwood Incense Materials is the powder of Agarwood used after distillation. Suitable for incense or dooph making. You could blend it with charcoal, other woods or to create the pure agarwood incense.
