Uses

PMP-OCMA  is used as a primary filter cake building filtration control and suspension agent in fresh water systems and has application inmost water-base fluid systems. PMP-OCMA provides thin, impermeable and compressible filter cake in the well bore. PMP-OCMA is a cost effective product for achieving viscosity.



Application

PMP-OCMA is used to increase viscosity and reduce fluid loss in water-base drilling fluids.



Transportation of PMP-OCMA is not restricted by any regulatory agency.



*) PMP-OCMA should be pre-hydrated in fresh water when chlorides exceed 8,**0 mg/l to obtain optimum yield.



*) PMP-OCMA is also adversely affected in high pH and high calcium conditions. The fluid must be pretreated with SAPP, sodium bicarbonate and/or citric acid before drilling cement.



Treatment

*) For best results PMP-OCMA should be prehydrated in fresh water with low hardness.



*) Chloride salts will restrict the yield of the clay and should not be present in the makeup water or added until the clay has yielded fully in fresh
