2.      DESCRIPTION:

A food grade product from Peru Quinoa (chenopodium quinoa) by mechanical, harvesting, cleaning, washing and drying. Washing is required to remove much of the saponins. (saponins are naturally occurring glycosides).

3.      PROPERTIES

Appearance

flattened, rounded, cylindrical shape; 1.**2.5 mm diameter x 1.0 - 1.5 mm thick. Color is red-tan, with an occasional dark color seed.

Odor              

minimal odor, free and any rancid or other off-odors.

Flavor         

mild, earthy flavor (mainly from saponins), free of any off-flavors,   or excessive saponins.
