This nanopowder is produced using electric explosion of metallic wire in argon and packaged in glass ampoules under inert atmosphere.

Available in two types:

1) Cu *0 (particle size ****0 nm)

2) Cu**0 (particle size *****0 nm)

 

Material composition:

- Metalic copper (Cu): *8%

- other elements: 2% 

If exposed to air, Cu contents is reduced up to ****0% with the balance of adsorbed gases, copper oxide and moisture. 

Appearance and color:  dark brown-grayish powder

Particles:  ****0 nm particles look crystalline

*****0 nm particles are spherical

Bulk density: 5 g/cm3. Mechanical impacts (vibrations) may further densify the powder.

BET surface area: Cu(*0) - *2 m2/g and Cu(**0) - 6.8 m2/g. 

Melting point: ***0°C

Air: The powder oxidizes when exposed to air.

Ignition point:  Being exposed to air, the powder may ignite by low-calorie flame source (spirit lamp) for 0.5 s. Linear burning rate is 0.*8 mm/s, burning front width 7.5 to 8 mm.
