Star Wheels can also be called harvesting wheels, separator wheels, de-stoning wheels.
As the name suggests they are similar in appearance to a star, and have a central body, with multiple 'fingers' extending out. They can be used in multiple industries, typically they are used as part of the screening process. The most common industries you find them are; mining and aggregate sorting, recycling, agriculture and forestry.
Typically they are used in the screening process, and can be used to sort pieces by size (as in mining and quarrying), or to remove waste such as when grading soil.
