Ship launching airbag is also known inflatable marine airbag, rubber roller, air lift bag and salvage bag. Airbags are used for ship launching and landing, and floating. Besides, they are also used in lifting and moving sunken ships, and salvaging stranded boats, pipe laying underwater, diving service, offshore construction, artificial islands building, big objects moving,etc.
Rubber pontoon is invented from ship launching airbag and has the same floating applications but with better air tightness. It is widely used as marine buoyancy bag, house boat floating pontoon, sea bridge building, or inflatable dredge device.
The biggest difference between airbag and pontoon is pontoon has a
real inner bag to keep air inserted into it. Also in order to
better play its roles in salvage project, pontoon always has some
scratches or handles to tie on sunk boats.
