Production Description

Ammonium zinc brightener CX-2000 CX-2000A, CX-2000B is slight acid zinc electroplating brightener, which are applicable for both barrel and rack plating. The deposit is brilliant and ductile. It is an excellent substitute for many difficult plating items like casts and heat-treating steel.  
1. Specific Properties & Application

2. Bath Composition & Operating Condition
 

Ammonium chloride（NH4Cl） 160~240g/L
Zinc chloride（ZnCl2） 35~65g/L
CX-2000A 1~1.5ml/L
CX-2000B 40ml/L
PH 5.0~6.5
Temp. 10~40℃
DK 0.5~4A/dm2
SK:SA 1:1.5-2
 
3. Bath Preparation

Add preset Ammonium chloride into tank → dissolve it with hot water about 2/3 of tank volume      
Dissolve preset Zinc chloride with little water → add it into bath → agitate evenly → add 1-2 g/L zinc powder → agitate it for 30 minutes → filter it to tank when it is clear → add water up to preset volume → electrolyze bath with small electric current → add preset CX-2000 A and CX-2000 B into bath → agitate evenly → plate
 
4. Bath Solution Management & Maintenance

1. The consumption of CX-2000 A: rack plating 80-120 ml/KAH
                               barrel plating 120-160 ml/KAH
2. The consumption of CX-2000 B: rack plating 80-120 ml/KAH
                               barrel plating 120-160 ml/KAH
3. Dilute Brightener up to 1-2 times of its volume before adding it to bath, then agitate completely.
4. Periodically analyze and replenish Ammonium chloride in operation to maintain the stability of bath. Replenish zinc ion by using zinc anode plate to dissolve zinc ion.
5. PH is stable, use Chloride acid (20%) and Ammonia water to adjust it when necessary.
