Bright Precious Metal Preparations for the Production of Decals for Porcelain and Bone China

1 General Information
We supply bright noble metal preparations for manufacturing decals for porcelain and bone china with various precious metal contents. Depending on the precious metal content and the deposit of the precious metal application, the precious metal film layer thickness is 0.2-0.3 μm after firing.

2 Standard Firing Range:

In order to achieve a maximum result, the optimal firing temperature range we recommend is 760 to 820°C.The firing result depends on the firing temperature, on the total firing time and the soak time and also on the properties of the glaze.Our products should be tested individually by every customer using his application and firing conditions.

3   Storage:
The paste viscosity raises during the storage timeï¼ˆwhen customer re-uses the collected paste, customer can add a proper amount of thinner according to flowability of the pasteï¼‰. Therefore, generally speaking, the recommended storage time is within 12 months at room temperature (ï¼ˆ20â„ƒï¼‰. Gold paste is supposed to be placed at 6â„ƒï½ž10â„ƒin a refrigerator if its opened, which can extend their quality life.

4   Processing:
Thinner must be added into our preparations to adjust its viscosity before printing. The optimum adding proportion of the thinner will be recommended. Before printing, we are supposed to fully mix the thinner into the preparation first, seal them well, and then place them there for one to two hours.
The paste viscosity raises during the storage time, which will affect its printability. In this case, we recommend adding approx. 5% thinner to adjust viscosity before re-using.

5   Consumptionï¼šThe material consumption depends on the printing parameters as screen fabric, stencil, coating, squeegee position, squeegee pressure and slop. Experienced values for the consumption are 0.16~0.3/100 cãŽ¡

6   Properties Of Finished Decorations
The main properties of fired bright precious metal decorations comprise brilliance and precious metal tone, as well as resistance to mechanical and chemical attack. Nevertheless the quality of a fired decoration depends on preparation, application, substrate surface and firing conditions.

8   Frequent Faults, Their Causes & Ways Of Avoiding Them
