SIP Structural Insulated Panel SIP-panels

Description

SIP consists of insulating layer of expanded polystyrene sandwiched between two layers of oriented strand board (OSB).

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is made by Knauf Term and filled with gas, inert to burning. OSB (made by Kalevala) consists of several layers of wood chips with max. length *5 cm, which are interconnected with the natural resin and environmentally friendly hardener.  The ends of the OSB are processed with a special hydrophobic composition.

All the layers (EPS  and OSB) are interconnected with one-component polyurethane glue and pressed under pressure of *8 tons. All the materials are processed with antiseptic and fire/bio protection.
