The zero-sequence third harmonic can cause increased neutral line current and other odd times harmonic additional heating in the winding. K-factor transformer is specially designed to withstand harmonic. According to the specifications of ANSI/IEEE C*7.*******6, K= ∑ LH (PU) h. K-factor ranges from 1 to *0. 1 indicates a linear load(no harmonic) and *0 terribly harmonic environment. The larger the K-factor, the stronger the capacity of eliminating harmonic interference of the transformer.
