Description:The Fresh
Philippine Mango Carabao variety or Manila Super Mango is delivered
as an export grade, fully matured fruit, free from defective
quality and conditions, with a maximum latex burn 5% of total
surface area; Hot water treated for anthracnose (black spots)
control and subject to the following export grading.
Methodology:Prior to
harvest, mangoes are wrapped with brown paper or newsprint two
months after flower induction to prevent insect damages, scabs, and
deformities. Mangoes are harvested after ******5 days to ensure
proper freshness and ripeness of the fruits in time for exporting.
Mangoes are also processed in hot and cold water for *0 and *0
minutes respectively for the best treatment. The finished mangoes
are then individually wrapped in fruit tissue paper individually
and packed in cartons.
