Virgin olive oil

Description

  Extra virgin olive oil is an unrefined olive oil. Because of the way extra virgin olive oil is made, it retains a more authentic olive flavor and has a lower oleic acid content than other olive varieties. It also contains more natural vitamins and minerals found in olives.
    Extra virgin olive oil is considered an unrefined oil because it has not been treated with chemicals or has been temperature-changed. The difference is the low oleic acid content, the lack of sensory defects. It contains no more than 1% oleic acid, usually golden yellow, with a unique flavor and a slight pepper taste.
