Bambara Nut is a subterranean leguminous grain cultivated in Nigeria and other sub- Sahara Africa for it\'s highly nutritious subterranean nut.

Bambara Nut is a grain legume grown mainly by farmers in  sub-Sahara Africa. It is cultivated for it\'s subterranean pods. It is extremely hard and produces bountiful yeilds even under conditions of drought and low soil fertility.
The pods are approximatelybe1.5 cm long and may be wrinkled and slightly oval or round, with one or
two seeds.
The colour of the seed varies from black, dark brown, red, cream or a combination of these colours.
At harvest, the plant is extracted from the soil and exposing the subterranean nut.
