Hikam industries has been established for the manufacture of pure herbal products & medicines, which are currently in great demand. It aims to produce & provide the best quality herbal products as feasible rates, thereby improving Pakistan€™s medical/health sector. The herbal system of medicine is a growing industry worldwide. Pakistan has a very rich tradition in the use of medical plants for the treatment of various ailments. This traditional medical sector has become an important source of health care in the rural & tribal areas as well as in the urban areas of the country. The government of Pakistan has in place a number of organizations and initiatives aimed at strengthening and coordinating various aspects of the sector, supplemented by non-government and private sector initiatives. However, stronger coordination of the sector at the national level under a strategic plan is imperative which will produce off shoots in research & development.
