**6 Roll Coating

General Characteristics Design: Developed as a protective coating in production of work and back up rolls. Roll Coatings that are applied to sand also have some unique requirements compared to other casting. The amount of metal that must pass the length of time the metal remains molten require extremely good erosion and elevated temperature bond characteristics.
Base: Carbon base, refractory high temperature binder
Bond: Medium Bond
Suspension: Excellent Suspension Suggested Applications Cast Roll: For Ferrous Alloy (magnesium and silicon) rolls.
Sand System: Effective in any sand system.
Application Technique: Sprayed, brushed, or flow coated on Molds. Advantages - Excellent protection against metal erosion
- Resistant to the "wetting" of molten metal
- Resistant to metal penetration
- Effective as a cost saving preventative measure
Mixing Guide In order to achieve desired baume and optimum suspension, we recommend mixing for *5 minutes prior to application. Standard Packaging Shipped dry in *0 lb. bags or super sacks.
