[Intended use ]

For the quantitative determination of Ethoxyquin concentration in feed, fish, shrimp, tissue(chicken,bovine, pig) and other samples.

[PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY]

This assay employs the indirect competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A Ethoxyquin conjugate has been pre-coated  onto a microplate. Add  HRP-anti-Ethoxyquin antibody and  Ethoxyquin (Standards or samples)  to  the  well.  A  competitive  inhibition  reaction  is  launched  between  pre-coated  Ethoxyquin  and Ethoxyquin (Standards or samples) with the HRP-anti-Ethoxyquin antibody. The substrate solutions are added to the wells, respectively. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of Ethoxyquin bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

[DETECTION RANGE]

0.1 ppb*8.1 ppb. The standard curve concentrations used for the ELISAs were 8.1 ppb, 2.7 ppb, 0.9 ppb, 0.3

ppb, 0.1 ppb,0 ppb.

[SENSITIVITY]

The minimum detectable dose of Ethoxyquin is typically less than 0.*5 ppb.

The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined by adding two standard deviations to the mean optical density value of twenty zero standard replicates and calculating the corresponding concentration.

[RECOVERY RATE]: ≥*0%

[SPECIFICITY]

This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Ethoxyquin. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Ethoxyquin and analogues was observed.
