Beam type lime kiln was created by American in the ***0s, and then in the ***0s the Soviet Union adopted the water cooling to protect the burn tsui beam, but the lifespan of the burn tsui beam was very short, so this technology couldnt be popularized. In the ***0s, Italian Terruzzi Fercalx Group had developed and popularized this type kiln, and then settled down China in the ***0s. But because of its high cost and the less clearance techniques, the generalization met a great restriction.

  • The scale of production with ******0t/d circular kiln or rectangle kiln
  • Operating flexibility with the *****0% adjustment, which can maintain the stable production, and do not affect the quality of lime and the consumption indicators
  • Fitting for many kinds of fuel, such as natural gas, coke oven gas, converter gas, blast-furnace gas (calorific value**0kcal/m3), mixed gas, powdered coal, powdered coke, heavy oil or solid-liquid and gas - solid mixing fuels.
  • With low heat consumption,the heat energy is reasonable used. The secondary air can be preheated by cooling the limestone, and the primary air is preheated by the preheater to enter the burning beams. The fuel is burned entirely, and the calorific value can be made full use of. The energy consumption is **0kcal/kg
  • With the low calorific value fuel, the air and gas are both preheated.
  • Using the way of cooling the exhaust by preheating stone to reduce the technical problems that the low calorific value fuel exhausts temperature could hardly be decreased.

The features of the kiln body structure:
 
  • The kiln body is rectangle or circular, and the upper and lower burn tsui beams are set in the middle of the kiln body, the upper kiln body has the suction beams. The negative pressure in the kiln reduces the CO2 resistance when decomposing from the limestone, and improves the speed of lime calcination. The upper of the suction beam is the zone of storage limestone, and the part between suction beam and the upper burning beam is the preheat zone, which takes use of the kiln gas after the high-temperature calcination to preheat the limestone to reach the calcining temperature. The zone between upper burning beam and the lower burning beam is the calcining zone, and the limestone is calcined to become lime uniformly. This zone can be adjusted according to the quality and the output of the lime. The simulation diagrams below and right is the main technologic calcination of the beam type lime kiln.
  • The part between lower burning beam and the soot door is the cooling zone. The cooled air is pumped from the bottom to cool the lime to reach below**0℃ fast when out the kiln, which aims to prevent the lime crystallization coarsening, and improves the lime quality.
  • When the amount of the limestone is sent into the storage zone through the kiln top feeding door by the uniform distribution in the furnace section, the two sealing doors of a kiln roof are automatically closed to prevent air from entering the kiln during charging, so negative pressure in the kiln cannot be damaged. The limestone moves toward to the lower parts slowly in the kiln, and then is calined to decompose into the product-active lime. The whole system includes: storage zone, preheat zone, calcining zone, cooling zone. The ash discharge way of this type kiln is multi-point discharge, which guarantees the balance of the material and is fit for the improvement of the calcinations index. Below is the suction diagram of the soot door design.
  • The two-story burning beam is the core part of the technology. The burning beam is cooled by the conducting oil. Many controllable burners are set in the beams, which is based on the output, to make the heating scope cover the entire cross section. The uniform heating is guaranteed by adjusting the distribution of burners. And the efficiency of combustion is guaranteed by adjusting the air-fuel ratio, which ensures the raw over-burned rate of the lime and the high degree of activity.
  • There are a layer of suction beams on the upper layer of the kiln, and there are many distributed evenly holes underside the beams. The kiln gas is pumped from the suction beams through the holes to guarantee the evenly distribution of the entire section negative pressure in the kiln. Thus make the airflow of the entire segment of the surface distribute evenly and smoothly, which will get the result of the best combustion effect and the lowest fuel consumption.   
  • The PLC controlling operation system guarantees the performance of the lime kiln, which also reduces the disturbance of the artificial factors. It has a good effect on the improving the economic index of the lime kiln technology, the working condition of the operators and the work efficiency.

The limestone and dolomite are available. The particle size of the stone is ****0mm, and the ratio between the chunk and the piece of the size-fractionated distribution is 2:1

3.3 Available Fuel

Gas, solid, and liquid fuel is available. Especially, this type kiln can use the pure blast furnace gas with **0 kcal/m3, which other kiln types are incomparable.

3.4 Consumption

Power consumption is *1kwh per ton of lime; ******0kcal heat consumption per kg of lime, low heat value fuels the argument somewhat higher.
