Orbea has a wide range of Alma choices. The M*0 you see here is the top of the second set. M is short for monocoque, the fabrication method. That means carbon-fiber, and they use their OMP, Orbea Monocoque Performance, carbon mix here. The material is neither as light nor as stiff as the OMR youll find on their top-shelf offerings, but the benefit is its much less expensive and a bit more durable. The cost felt from the saddle is one only of weight: they use more material to keep flex characteristics the same as youll find on OMR frames. 

Those flex characteristics are part of what makes the bike a great ride. There is ample stiffness found from the bottom of the 1 1/8 to 1 ½ tapered head tube through the triangulated down tube to the wide BB*2 bottom bracket. At the same time, to mitigate shock and vibration, and absorb hits, the rear end has been designed for vertical flex. They call it their 4x4 design, which features swoops over straight lines starting at the back of the top tube and going down to the dropouts.

The front wheel mates to Foxs *2 Float CTD fork. The *2mm stanchions are finished with the Kashima coating for low friction and great sensitivity. The air and rebound can be adjusted and the three-position CTD damper offers on-the-go adjustments. CTD is Climb Trail Descend, basically three settings, firm, medium, soft, that you can shift to thanks to a handlebar mounted remote.
