Dry socket is the most common complication

of an extraction. It develops in about 5% of tooth extractions. It is very painful condition that is easily treated.

Sore throat is a painful inflammation of the pharynx. The pharynx

is the part of the throat that lies between the mouth and the larynx

or voice box. It is associated most commonly with the common cold or influenza
While most sore throats heal without complications, in some cases, they develop into a serious illness.

• Symptoms of sore throat
• Pain in the throat and difficulty in swallowing.
• Pain may spread to the ears.
• The throat is reddish, the tonsils are swollen and may be coated
