HY***8 is a kind of highly purified,remodeled and organically modified bentonite of which the raw material is a natural calcium bentonite .It is mainly used in low and medium polar solvents,such as paints,inks and other products.It has the following features:

(1)easy to disperse:uner the effect of appropriate amount of polar activator ,HY***8 has fast speed of dispersion and gelation,small dispersing fineness.

(2)anti-sediment:HY***8 has the property of anti-sediment in the system.
 

Use method:

HY***8 can disperse at normal temperature.It is better to be used as pre-gel.It should be added before grinding your products(such as paints,pigments,coatings etc.).To get the best dispersion effect ,it is best to use high-shearing device.HY***8 needs polar activator to be fully disperse .The available polar activators are as follows :propylene carbonate,methanol/water(*5/5),ethanol/water(*5/5) or acetone.The proper amount of polar activator can be adjusted according to different systems. Generally ,the amount of polar activator is *0~*0% of organic bentonite.

Dosage:

The amount of HY***8 is usually 0.2~3.0% of the system(by weight).
