PERT-AL-PERT
pipe
The multilayer pipes PERT/AL/PERT are
composite pipes that are produced by the overlapping method .They
are composed of an inner and outer layer of PERT, that are
bonded by a special glue to the intermediate layer
of aluminum. By that way, a perfect oxygen barrier is
accomplished, that ensures their perfect unruptured
connection.
They are characterized as pipes of the century, because they
combine the advantages of metal pipes (small linear expansion and
high mechanical strength) with the advantages of plastic pipes
(flexibility, without formation of salts inside the pipe,
resistance to electro corrosion, low noise level, fast and easy
installation )
The materials used to form the pipe are as
follows:
· Outer
Layer: Polyethylene raised temperature (PE-RT) plastic coat:
protects the aluminum core and allows the outer shell to be colored
without contaminating the water.
· Adhesive
layer: interface zone between the outer PE-RT layer and the
aluminum core. Bonds the material together and prevents shear
slippage.
· Aluminum
layer: thin layer of lap welded aluminum which forms a **0% oxygen
barrier to protect against corrosion and allows the pipe to have
the ‘form-stable’ characteristic.
· Adhesive
layer: interface zone between the inner PE-RT layer and the
aluminum core. Bonds the material together and prevents shear
slippage.
· Inner
layer: inner layer of clear PE-RT. Inert and does not affect the
water in any way. Allows for a smooth wall surface to reduce
pressure drops for water flow.
Advantages:
1. Great flexibility
2. No salts are deposited on the inner surface
3. without electrolysis
4. Small thermal expansion
5. Resistance to adverse conditions (high temperature, high
pressure)
6. Wide range of dimensions
7. Easy connection to all connection systems of plastic
pipe
8. Guaranteed quality and insurance for their good
function
9.**0% oxygen barrier existence
Applications:
1.Cold and hot water distribution.
2.Solar system, air-conditioning and refrigeration
system
3.Under floor heating PEX systems
4.Medical, foodstuff and chemical industries PEX pipe
systems
5.Gas and air distribution
