MUS**2 shale inhibitor is used primarily as a borehole stabilizer to prevent reactive shale and clay from swelling and sloughing, especially for reducing the swelling of sensitive shales and drill cutting exposed to water based mud and stabilizing water sensitive formations such as shale, mudstones, talcs, kimberlites and typical shear zones.

 

Application:
 

• Can be used in diamond and rotary drilling, especially for no effect of potassium chloride.
• Strong effective in the polymer drilling system.
• Can be well suited to low-solids, non-dispersed drilling mud systems.
• Control the dispersive tendency of mudstones and shales.
• Designed to work with PAC for a low viscosity drilling fluid that provides hole stability in shear zones.
• Can be used with super saline or water with extreme hardness.

• Strongly effective shale inhibitor.
• Suitable for all pH level.
• Environmentally acceptable.
• Stable at temperatures more than **4℃ (**0℉).
• Prevent potential of bit balling.
• Reduced the amount of dilution required and associated treatment cost.
