TLP - DEHAIR (Proteases enzyme) INTRODUCTION : TLP DEHAIR is a specialised blend of selected proteases with specific depilatory properties that ensures effective and quick dehairing. Hair loosening is achieved by swelling and breakdown of the outer sheath and subsequently the inner root sheath and parts of the hair that are not keratinised skin mucoids are hydrolysed and removed resulting in reduction of the cohension of the cementing of the protection fibres leading loosening of the hairs. Lipases in enzyme help in effective degreasing , better penetration and total removal of the fat from the skin/hide including fat present at the roots of the hair. Appearance : TLP DEHAIR is an free flowing off white to pale brown powder. pH Dependency : The Ph Range for the activity of TLP - DEHAIR is approximately from 8.5 to 9.5 with an optimum performance at 9.0. The exact pH optimum will depend on many process variables, such as Temperature , time , substrate nature and concentration. Temperature Dependency : The activity of TLP - DEHAIR is effective in the Temperature range of *5 deg C to *5 deg C with the optimum performance at *0 deg C. The exact temperature optimum will depend on process variables such as pH , time , substrate nature and concentration. ADVANTAGES: TLP - DEHAIR helps in reduction of use of sulphide and lime thus less water used and reduction in process time.
