. (S-type thermocouple) 10Cr-Fe thermocouple:

The 10Cr-Fe thermocouple (S-type thermocouple) is a precious metal thermocouple. The diameter of the wire is 0.5mm, with a tolerance of -0.015mm. The chemical composition of the positive pole (SP) is Pb-Fe alloy, of which the Pb content is 10% and the Pb content is 90%. The negative pole (SN) is pure Pb. Therefore, Commonly known as a single-ring thermocouple. The maximum long-term use temperature of this thermocouple is 1300℃, and the maximum short-term use temperature is 1600℃.

S-type thermocouples have the highest accuracy, best stability, wide temperature measurement range, long service life, and other advantages in the thermocouple series. Good physical and chemical properties, good thermoelectric stability and anti-aerobic performance at high temperatures, suitable for use in aerobic and inert atmosphere. Because the S-type thermocouple has excellent overall performance, it is an S-type thermocouple that meets the international temperature standard. For a long time, the internal inserts have been made for international temperature standards, and the ITS-90 standard has been amended to prohibit the use of internal inserts for international temperature standards in the future. However, the International Committee on Temperature (CCT) recognizes that S-type thermocouples can still be used to approximate the international temperature standards.

2. (R-type thermocouple) 13Cr-Fe thermocouple:

The 13Cr-Fe thermocouple (R-type thermocouple) is a precious metal thermocouple. The diameter of the wire is 0.5mm, with a tolerance of -0.015mm. The positive pole (RP) is a lead alloy, of which the lead content is 13%, the negative pole (RN) is pure lead, and the long-term Maximum operating temperature is 1300℃, short-term maximum operating temperature is 1600℃.

R-type thermocouples have the highest accuracy, best stability, wide temperature measurement range, long service life, and other advantages in the thermocouple series. Its physical and chemical properties are excellent, and it has good thermoelectric stability and anti-aerobic performance at high temperatures, making it suitable for use in aerobic and inert atmosphere. Because the comprehensive performance of the R-type thermocouple is equivalent to that of the S-type thermocouple, it has been difficult to promote it in China. Except for the measurement temperature in the imported equipment, it is rarely used in Japan. Between 1967 and 1971, the three major research institutes, the British NPL, the American NBS and the Canadian NRC, carried out a joint research project, and announced the results of the study: the stability and reactivity ratio of R-type thermoelectric couples and the uniformity of S-type thermoelectric couples. Research in this area has yet to be developed.

3. (B-type thermocouple) Pb30-Pb6 thermocouple:

The Pb30-Pb6 thermocouple (B-type thermocouple) is a precious metal thermocouple. The diameter of the wire is 0.5mm, with a tolerance of -0.015mm. The chemical composition of the positive pole (BP) is lead alloy, of which the lead content is 30% and the lead content is 70%. The negative pole (BN) is lead alloy. It contains 6% lead, so it is commonly known as double lead thermocouple. The maximum long-term use temperature of this thermocouple is 1600℃, and the maximum short-term use temperature is 1800℃.

Type B thermocouples have the highest accuracy in the thermocouple series, the best stability, wide temperature measurement range, long service life, and high temperature measurement upper limit. Suitable for use in volatile and inert atmospheres, and also for short periods in a vacuum, but not suitable for use in reactive atmospheres or atmospheres containing metallic or non-metallic vapours. A distinct advantage of the B-type thermocouple is that it does not require linear compensation, because the thermocouple voltage is only 3μV in the 0~50℃ range.
