RBDOL (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Olein) Definition : ROL is obtained from fractionating RPO to separate liquid parts (olein) from solid parts (Stearin). Appearance : Clear yellow liquid at room temperature and no contamination Application : - Used as frying oil for food industries, such as, snack foods, ready-to-eat foods, etc. - Used as a raw material for margarines and shortenings. - To be fractionated to obtain RBD Palm Mid Fraction. RBDPO (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil) Definition : RPO is obtained from refining CPO. Appearance : Light yellow liquid or semi-solid at room temperature, melting to clear yellow liquid on slightly heating. Application : - Used as frying oil for food industries, such as, instant noodles, snack foods, etc. - Used in other food industries, such as, margarines, shortenings, ice cream, condensed milk, vanaspati, soap, etc. PFAD (Palm Fatty Acid Distilled) Application : - Used as soap or in plastic industries CPO (Crude Palm Oil) Definition : CPO is obtained from the pericarp of palm fruit. Appearance : Orange liquid or semi-solid at room temperature, melting to clear red-orange liquid on slightly heating. Application : As a raw material for Palm Oil Refinery and its by-products.
